Will Wesley Sneijder be heading to Manchester United?
Manchester United have been chasing the signature of long-term target Wesley Sneijder for several years now and reports suggest that Inter Milan are pushing him to take a pay-cut which would likely see him move on, possibly to England. The Holland international player has been involved in speculation of his departure for many years, so this news will not surprise many.
The Holland superstar earns roughly £200,000 a week and it was reported he would earn around £250,000 a week if he was to move to Manchester United or one of the world’s other elite clubs. Due to past rumours it is likely Manchester United would attempt to sign him however with many players that now cover his role he is unlikely to be a big priority for the team. Man Utd have Tom Cleverley and Shinji Kagawa that play in a similar position to Wesley so it is unlikely they will sacrifice these cheaper and younger talents for such an expensive move. Also with the ability of Rooney, Van Persie, Welbeck and Hernandez it is often Sir Alex Ferguson chooses to play with two strikers meaning room for someone like Wesley would be hard to find.
Wesley Snjeijder will likely move very soon but whether it’s to Manchester United or a different club remains to be seen. Many clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG will chase his signature and Wesley will likely see his wages increase as he moves to yet another elite club.
