Latest transfer rumours as transfer window approaches its opening

As always the days before January the news is littered with crazy rumours that the fans love and some hate. Many of the worlds best clubs have been linked with sensational players for their teams over the past few days.

Gareth Bale and Ashely Cole are reportedly targets for Real Madrid. They feel the British duo would complete their team and bring them closer to competing with Barcelona. Madrid are also supposedly looking into bringing the Spanish youngster David De Gea from Man Utd back to Spain. Ashley Cole has also been linked with PSG.

Chelsea are usually at the forefront of transfer rumours. The latest are that Lampard will depart in the near future to join David Beckham’s old club LA Galaxy. He will be paid a similar wage and be made their star. However the England star scored both of Chelsea’s goals against Everton today and the Chelsea staff may change their plans. Chelsea are meeting with Demba Ba and his agent to discuss a possible transfer between the two. The deal would be worth £7m as that is the cost stipulated as Ba’s buyout price. The forward would compete and possibly partner Torres.

Sunderland are being linked with the loan signing of New York Red Bulls ace Tim Cahill. They believe the former Everton man would help them avoid their near relegation fight. Man City are being linked with Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross and believe he could improve their shaky defence and partner their star defender Vincent Kompany. Elsewhere in Manchester there has been rumours United are looking to sell Nani with Arsenal, Tottenham and many others being linked with a move for the star. However United have moved to quiet these rumours and have told Nani he still has a future at Old Trafford.

If history is anything to go by, then we are likely to see many rumours appear and many of them come true in the near future. For the ones that don’t, well it’s fun to ponder them while the idea lasts.
